AV Receiver

An AV Receiver (Audio/Video receiver) (AVR) is a consumer electronics component used in a home theater. Its primary purpose is to receive audio and video signals from a number of sources, processing them to drive loudspeakers and a display. Possible displays include television, monitor, or video projector while the inputs may come from television, satellite receiver, radio, DVD players, Blu-ray Disc players, VCRs, and video game consoles. AV Receiver is a key component of any HIFI system.
